Benefits of Sound Therapy

Research has shown that sound therapy calms the nervous system allowing mind and body time to relax and start to repair. Sound works on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual giving us an opportunity to create balance within. There are so many positive benefits of sound therapy and soundbaths such as reducing stress and anxiety, quieting the mind, lowering heart rate and blood pressure, increases focus and clarity, decreases tension (physical and mental), improves mood, aids pain management, improves sleep to name a few .
Sound therapy and Soundbaths may help with people living with chronic pain, m.e. Fibromyalgia, sleep disturbances, depression, anxiety, dementia, autism, learning difficulties.

Monthly Soundbath

An hour of total relaxation listening to the sounds of the Himalayan &Crystal singing bowls and earth gong. Then be reawakened to the sounds of therapeutic percussion.
A sound bath is where you immerse yourself in sound frequency. Sound is all around you and creates a ‘bath’ of sound that is felt deep within. Using a trusted method, by the British Academy of sound therapy, the sound lowers brain frequencies creating a deeply relaxing, meditative state and encourages healing. You will leave feeling relaxed and restored.

Tonic Acupuncture

Join me for an hour of relaxation. By immersing yourself in the soothing sounds of Himalayan singing bowls, the vibrant richness of gongs and the pure, restful tones of crystal singing bowls you’ll be transported into a world of peace and tranquility. You’ll then be gently guided back through therapeutic percussion.
By playing these instruments in a specific way, brainwaves are lowered, the mind and body slowly relaxes and healing begins . We all need to find time to experience total relaxation.

River Room Soundbath

The last Thursday of every month I host a soundbath for relaxation. We all need sometime to ourselves to deeply relax, time away from the chatter of the mind and to begin the healing process. Soundbaths work by entraining the brain, it latches onto the sounds and frequencies so that is slows everything down. We go from a beta brain wave( active and alert) into an alpha, then theta and even deep delta. By slowing everything down it helps us to process the day and starts the healing process of our minds and bodies.
You are immersed in the sounds of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, Crystal singing bowls and Therapeutic percussion. The sound surround and support you throughout your sound journey and then welcome you back into the space.
